Seppi Landmann and Domaine Rieflé offer you the opportunity to actively participate in a memorable and friendly day of grape picking from vine until cellar.
We look forward to seeing you at the Domaine Rieflé-Landmannin in Pfaffenheim at 8:30 AM. You will join the vineyard in magnificent vintage buses, a Chausson 1955 and a Saurer 1949. Seppi Landmann, Thomas and Paul Rieflé will teach you the art of harvesting carefully.
After a bit of effort, we will take a deserved break with coffee, schnapps and kougelhopf (traditional Alsatian brioche) before resuming picking grapes for an hour or two. A traditional picker’s lunch will be served in the vineyards.
In the afternoon you will discover the cellar, the wines-presses, the wooden barrels and the cellar master will deliver its secrets. Finally you can enjoy great joyful tasting, led by Seppi Landmann and Rieflé family. Your participation in the harvest will give you a one-time VIP access for a discount on all Seppi Landmann’s wines. Finally by your participation, you will be a member of the non-profit association "Friends of Zinnkoepflé" which each year supports a local project of solidarity.
Full-day program (*)
•8:30 AM: Meeting at Domaine Rieflé-Landmann.

•9:00 AM: Departure of the vintage bus towards the vineyard and the block to pick.

•9:30 AM delivery of grape picker tools: bucket, picking shears and gloves. Explanations about the art of hand-picking.

•10:15 AM: coffee break with schnaps, kougelhopf , grape juice and water

•12:00 PM: traditional pickers-lunch served with Seppi Landmann’s wines, new wine, water, grape juice and coffee.

•2:00 PM: return to Domaine Rieflé-Landmann in vintage bus, guided tour of the cellar.

•4:30 PM: free tasting with access to all Seppi Landmann’s wines. Special discount of 20% on all prices.

•6 :00 PM: End of the day

Important notes:
•We recommend to dress accordingly to day's weather. Bring boots or walking shoes, warm clothes and a raincoat in case of uncertain weather.
•The actual harvest time can vary between 3H and 4H depending on the duration of the bus ride, of the size of the block to harvest and technical constraints.
•In case of cancellation of the harvest due to poor weather or technical problem, we will suggest an alternative activity and the lunch will be taken inside at the cellar.
